Backups with a vault mindset

Scalenta Vault

Backups fail quietly, and ransom attacks target them on purpose. Scalenta Vault stores your backups with versioning and immutability options, and treats restores as a rehearsed routine rather than a last resort.

Overview

A backup that shares fate with the system it protects is not a backup. Scalenta Vault keeps copies in a separate, controlled store — on partner or cloud infrastructure — with retention and versioning that match your recovery needs.

The vault is operated, monitored and tested: jobs are watched, restores are rehearsed, and results are reported. When something goes wrong, the recovery path is already familiar to the people who have to use it.

FAQ

Common questions

How is this different from your Backup & Disaster Recovery service?
Vault is the storage-and-operations side: where the protected copies live, how long they stay, and how restores are rehearsed. Backup & Disaster Recovery is the wider business-continuity work — recovery order, dependencies and targets. Many clients start with one and grow into the other.
Can backups be made immutable?
Where the storage platform supports it, yes — and where the threat model justifies it, we recommend it. Immutability is a design decision made with you, not a checkbox on a datasheet.
